STILL THE BEST

October 23, 2002, Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department Safe Streets
Bureau, reports that Gang Enforcement Team personnel assigned to East
Los Angeles Station responded to 12212 Long Beach Boulevard, Lynwood,
to serve a search warrant. Upon arrival, a deputy was charged and
bitten on the calf by a dog. The deputy fired one round from his
duty weapon, striking the animal and killing it. Los Angeles County
Animal Control personnel responded and took possession of the dog's body.
The deputy was transported to Saint Francis Medical Center, Lynwood,
were he was treated for his injuries.
The care and treatment at St. Francis is still the best.
